Absentee Voting for the Consolidated General Election begins Thursday, February 28, 2013. There are two ways to cast an Absentee Ballot, by mail or in person.
The last day we can mail you a ballot is 5 days prior to the election. The ballot needs to be postmarked by the day before the election and must be in our office within two weeks after the election.
Please note that if you will be out of the country for the election, you must complete and return an FPCA form.
NOTE: ELECTION MAIL CANNOT BE FORWARDED
In Person Absentee Voting is available at the Peoria Election Commission Office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Monday, April 8, 2013.
Illinois State Statute allows voters who are incapacitated to complete an Application for Absentee Voter's 5 Year Identification Card form* along with an Affidavit of Attending Physician* in order to automatically be sent an absentee ballot application for every election within five years.
