How to obtain an Absentee Ballot

Absentee Voting for the General Election begins Thursday, Feburay 26 2015. There are two ways to cast an Absentee Ballot, by mail or in person.

By Mail

The last day we can mail you a ballot is 5 days prior to the election. The ballot needs to be postmarked by the day before the election and must be in our office within two weeks after the election.

Please note that if you will be out of the country for the election, you must complete and return an FPCA form.

In Person

In Person Absentee Voting is available at the Peoria Election Commission Office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Monday, April 6, 2015.

Incapacitated Voters

Illinois State Statute allows voters who are incapacitated to complete an Application for Absentee Voter's 5 Year Identification Card form* along with an Affidavit of Attending Physician* in order to automatically be sent an absentee ballot application for every election within five years.
