Obtain Vote by Mail Ballot

Vote by Mail Ballots will begin being mailed for the General Election on September 24, 2020. Applications for Vote by Mail can be made by mail, in person or on our website at Vote by Mail Online Request .

By Mail

The last day we can mail you a ballot is 5 days prior to the election. The ballot needs to be postmarked by Election Day and must be in our office within 2 weeks after the election.

Please note that if you will be out of the country for the election, you may complete and return an FPCA form (PDF).

Note: Election mail cannot be forwarded.

Incapacitated/Disabled Voters

Illinois State Statute allows voters who are incapacitated to complete an Application for Absentee Voter’s 5-Year Identification Card form (PDF)* along with an Affidavit of Attending Physician (PDF)* in order to automatically be sent a Vote by Mail ballot application for every election within 5 years.
